Four principles
- Only bet what you can afford to lose. Not what you hope to replace. What you can genuinely lose without affecting rent, bills, or essentials.
- Set a deposit limit before your first bet. Almost every operator we review has deposit limit tools in the account settings. Use them.
- Never chase losses. The urge to win back losses is the most common path to serious gambling harm. If you find yourself there, stop and walk away.
- Take breaks. Extended sessions impair judgement. Shorter, less frequent sessions produce better decisions.
Warning signs
If any of these are true for you, pause and reassess:
- You bet more than you planned to
- You think about betting when you're trying to focus on other things
- You bet to escape stress or difficult emotions
- You hide betting from people in your life
- You've lied about how much you bet or won
- You've borrowed money to bet
- Betting has caused problems in relationships, work, or finances
Tools every operator offers
- Deposit limits: Daily, weekly, monthly caps
- Time-out periods: Lock your account for a set period
- Self-exclusion: Lock your account for 6 months, 1 year, or permanently
- Reality check reminders: Time and spending alerts during sessions
Support organisations
If you or someone you know needs help:
- BeGambleAware, begambleaware.org
- Gamblers Anonymous, gamblersanonymous.org
- GamCare (UK), gamcare.org.uk, helpline 0808 8020 133
- Gambling Therapy (international), gamblingtherapy.org
For Mongolian speakers, most support organisations operate only in English or major European languages. We recommend seeking help in the language you're most comfortable with, even if it means going through a local resource in your country of residence.
For Mongolian residents
Paid betting is illegal in Mongolia. If you are struggling with a gambling habit from earlier periods, or if you're betting illegally and finding it hard to stop, please seek help from a mental health professional in Mongolia. The National Mental Health Centre (NMHC) in Ulaanbaatar can provide a starting point.
