True no-deposit bonuses are almost non-existent in sports betting. We explain what operators advertise under that label and what it actually means.
What 'no deposit bonus' usually means
When operators advertise 'no deposit bonuses', they typically mean one of three things:
- Free bet on sign-up, sometimes with KYC verification required before the free bet credits
- Refund of your first losing bet up to a certain amount (so technically you do deposit first)
- Cashback on first week losses as a percentage refund
Pure 'register and receive cash to bet with' offers effectively don't exist in sports betting.
